| The three of us went outside and watched the moon for the last 20 minutes until the moon was completely covered. It was neat that we saw the Lunar Eclipse on John Micheal's 13 month birthday. |

| We went to ''Red River Revel'' last Sunday. There was lots of food, booths, and fun activities for the kids. They had a ''grocery store'' set up including a variety of ''food'' and also grocery carts. Notice JM's cart includes Goldfish crackers, one of his favorites. |

| As a one year old, John Micheal weighs 19 lbs 13 oz and is 30.25'' tall. He's a big boy now! He didn't cry for very long (1 minute tops) when he got his shots. Dr. Hainey did say he has a form of excema, but not to worry. He advised me to put Cortoid cream. Also, a 4th molar has surfaced as well. Soon, he'll have 12 teeth! |
|
| Sat, Sep 18, 2004 |
| One night I saw John Micheal's first molar (bottom) popping out. Then just today, we noticed 2 more teeth (top) on both sides!! So, far his teeth have NOT been bothering him much like most babies. Whew! His total count of teeth now will be 11 right before he turns one!! |

| It's been so neat to watch John Micheal gain more and more confidence in his walking. The look on his face when he walks says it all.....he's so proud of himself and so are we!! |
|

| John Micheal has been having lots of fun pushing his walker these days. Who knows when he'll decide one day to just let go and start walking by himself!! |
|

I've been sleeping in my own room now for the past couple of days. I'm slowly getting used to it but I like it so far. It's good to know that my mommy or daddy will still come if they hear me holler at them! |

We spent our first night at our new house on July 10, 2004. It took 2 days to move. We made a big trip to Wal-Mart to get some groceries and some much needed supplies. Notice the ''cart'' Bryan had to use 3 times......No, John Micheal was NOT underneath the pile |
|
| Fri, Jul 9, 2004 |
Our house is ready for us to move in. John Micheal was helping mommy test out the luggage space. Too bad everything won't fit in one luggage!!
We are very excited about having our first home. We'll take lots of pictures as soon as we are settled in. |

| John Micheal is even more fun to play with these days. He's become a speed crawler and loves to pull up on anything he can get his hands on. His latest sounds are bababa and gagaga. We're still waiting for his actual first words hoping it'll be either dada or mama. He loves to be read to and enjoys looking at the pictures. His favorite DVDs right now are Galileo and Mozart, both from the Baby Einstein series. He enjoys eating cheerios while watching them. |
|
| Sun, Jun 13, 2004 |
| John Micheal finally learned how to feed himself. So far, he's been successful w/ Veggie Puffs and Cheerios. He'll be adding more items on his list soon! |

Well, they got the brick work done and it looks pretty good! Even though you can't see the inside, the drywall is up and ready for the next phase.

| John Micheal had his ''late'' 6 mos appt yesterday and got to meet his new pediatrician, Dr. Rao. The check-up went really well. As you can see on his growth chart, he's grown to be 27 inches and weighs 16 lbs 14 oz!! He was a real trooper when he got his shots (4!!). He only cried for about 2 minutes, and then stopped. |

Well, they've done a lot since the last update. The main thing completed is the roof. We have the architectural shingles, which gives it a textured and classy look. We have siding on the porch (which will be painted later), windows and a front and back doors.
The inside has all the electrical work done and now they are insulating and installing siding and sheet rock. As they do this, there won't be much to update as the work is done on the inside and it is detailed. |

| John Micheal is able to pull himself up now in his crib. Time to lower his mattress! |
|
| Sun, Apr 25, 2004 |
| Now that John Micheal can crawl, the next step is to learn how to walk. Hopefully this walker will help him out. |
|
| Thu, Apr 22, 2004 |
| John Micheal is now a crawler!! He's not that fast yet, but he's definitely moving! Time to babyproof the place! |
|
| Sat, Apr 17, 2004 |
They have the roof about 75% framed. We are glad to see any progress at all!
You can see me and John Micheal standing on our front porch! This gives you a perspective of a nice-sized entrance. |
|
| Fri, Apr 16, 2004 |
We are proud to say that it looks like John Micheal's tear ducts have finally opened up!! Just imagine for 6 months, having to constantly wipe his eyes (which wasn't his favorite thing). But not anymore! We feel like we have a normal baby now |
|
| Fri, Apr 9, 2004 |
| They began framing the house and when the roof is put up, it will look bigger and even better! It's nice to be able to walk through it now and see where everything is in perspective to our floor plans. |
|
| Tue, Apr 6, 2004 |
| get set, go!! John Micheal has been making some crawling moves for a while now. He apparently has learned to go backwards but has yet to figure out how to go forwards. He is wanting to crawl sooo bad. He knows that day will definitely come. |
|
| Tue, Mar 30, 2004 |
John Micheal celebrated his 1/2 birthday by having some green beans for the first time , tasting a ''biter biscuit'' , and getting a new toy |
|
| Sat, Mar 27, 2004 |
Well, they got to pour the foundation on Friday March 26, 2004. Now the building process can be pretty fast. An average time frame is about 120 days, so we are anxious to see some more work done on it. Once the framing goes up, we can get an even better idea of what it will look like. |
|
| Sat, Mar 20, 2004 |
| They have framed the foundation and now they will run the pipes and get everything ready to pour it! We are so excited to actually see our lot come to life with a custom home! We are more excited to actually have our first real home. We've lived in apartments and our family's homes, but there is going to be nothing like owning your own home! |
|
| Sat, Mar 20, 2004 |
Well, here it is. Our first home and we get to decide everything that goes in, out and on it! It is so exciting getting to go to all the distributor warehouses picking out things like cabinets, tile, carpet, brick, appliances, etc.! We will keep posting updates as we get them. Pictures of the house under construction will be posted here too, so check back when you can!
The floor plan is the same, but the outside of the house will not look exactly like the image above. We will remove the railing, change the arched window on Bedroom 2, have a garage door with no windows and some other things. |

Yay! John Micheal likes taking baths now! For about 2 months, he hated taking baths. He would literally scream, the moment he touched the water. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson's Bedtime Bath (and to daddy John Micheal can now enjoy his bath! |

| Here I am at the airport, headed for Louisiana. It just so happened to be my 5 month birthday. I got to sit up in my stroller for the very first time without using my carseat. |
|
| Wed, Jan 28, 2004 |
| Well, it looks like we'll be moving to Louisiana. My daddy was able to find a job here. We'll definitely miss everyone in California...especially my bai and grandpa. |

| I had my very first Christmas in Louisiana! I can't wait to sit on Santa's lap next year. Hopefully I'll be as good as I am right now! |

| We went to Mansfield's Christmas party right after church. It took us three tries to finally win this fiber optic Christmas tree for John Micheal. |
|
| Fri, Dec 12, 2003 |
| John Micheal was absolutely wonderful his first plane ride. A 3 hour and a 45 minute plane ride were what it took to get to Louisiana and he slept through most of it. We were nervous at first but it turned out to be a great day! |
|

Everything went just fine. Dr. Ong said that John Micheal was ''advanced'' for his age....must take after his dad He grew 4 inches since birth and weighed in at a nice 11 lbs.
He got his shots and he was a good trooper. He cried a bit, but quit very quickly. All in all it was a great checkup. |

| We took John Micheal to Clancy's Pumpkins. He was a little fussy... but we took pictures anyways. |
|

His two week checkup was great! Our pediatrician is very nice and friendly and John Micheal cooperated 100%.
Wow has he grown! They said that it is good to get back to normal birth weight by his 2 week visit, but man, he put on almost a full pound! He went from 6 lbs. 9 oz. to 7 lbs. 8 oz. in just 14 days.
He also grew about 1 and 1/4 inches in length! I say 1 and ''1/4'' because the first time they measured him, he was 21 inches long and the nurse said ''oh, that 's too much'', so they measured him again and he was 20 1/2 inches long. I'll split it and say he grew 1 and 1/4 inches.
Overall, he is well and very healthy. He got a few eye drops to help with his tear ducts no being fully functional, causing some gook build up on his eyes.
Other than that, next stop....2 months and lots of shots! |

After 3 days in the hospital, the three of us are finally home. It is such an awesome feeling to be a mommy
While in the hospital, Bryan was able to spend each night with John Micheal and me. He took real good care of John Micheal while I was slowly recovering (and still am) from my c-section surgery. He is already a great daddy!!
Bryan and I couldn't have asked for any other son. He's perfect!! He is what they call an ''angel baby''. So far, he only cries when he's hungry or needs changing. We're hoping that he will continue to be this way.
Now that John Micheal is born, you can expect to see a lot more pictures and more stories!!
We love our son very much. He is so precious to us. He has 4 very proud grandparents and also a proud Auntie Joy and Auntie Tracy!! |

Here is our precious angel! He was born on September 27, 2003 at 2:02pm (PST). Darlene had a cesarean done after 22 hours of labor and had only gotten to about 4cm. About 13 hours was stuck at around 3 and 1/2 cm dilated.
Darlene is recovering very well and is up walking around slowly. (Must be from all the walking we did). The baby is doing well and is very cooperative. I'll let Darlene tell more of the story when she gets home in a few days.

Well, here I am at 41 weeks, and it looks like John Micheal still wants to be inside his mom's womb. Bryan and I are anxiously awaiting for anything to happen so that we can go to the hospital!! An induction has been scheduled for next Monday, Sept. 29.... unless John Micheal decides to come out earlier. Thanks for all the prayers!!

| Well, I am now 39 weeks and no John Micheal yet. All Bryan and I could do is just sit tight and wait, wait, wait. We think we're ready! We've got the hospital bag all set, the bedding washed along with baby clothes, and the baby bottles are even sterilized and ready for usage. We're hoping that our baby will come soon. His grandparents from Louisiana are coming Sept. 25!!! It would be nice if John Micheal decided to show up at least by then!! |

Wow, for the past 4 weeks now your mommy has been taking prenatal yoga. It's been a wonderful experience!! I've learned how to breathe, and do all kinds of of stretches, especially ''kegels''!! The instructor is great. It's been fun doing it with my teacher friend, Tina |

Your daddy and I for the past few days have found a new walking route. It takes about 35 minutes and we go to Crocker/Amazon Park from the house. We're enjoying walking through the ''eucaplytus trees'' (It's an inside joke between your granpa to be, mommy to be and daddy to be |
|
| Sat, Aug 2, 2003 |
Since your daddy doesn't know if you are a boy or girl, we've decided to name you ''Sam'' for the time being!! But we do have names picked out already. If you are a boy: John Micheal. If you are a girl: Kalina Faith. Kalina is Hawaiian for Darlene

Hello everyone! Well, I am now 33 weeks and counting!! It's now August and now I can start telling people that our baby will be arriving next month already!! My family baby shower is coming up on Saturday, August 9 and my church shower is on Sunday, August 17. I can't wait for both of them!! Today, Bryan will put the baby's dresser together, then next will be the stroller, and Pak -n- play! We're gonna try to schedule another ultrasound for the baby, and maybe this time our baby won't be crossing it's legs!!

This little one inside of me is VERY active!! Especially at night! Sometimes it's as if it's doing somersaults inside of me It's pretty neat because the baby already recognizes its daddy's voice. It's really cute because at night time, dad-to-be has been picking out picture books to read to our baby and he also talks and sings to it... and the baby moves and responds to him, just like that!! It's amazing!!

Just wanted to make an entry and tell everyone that we are doing well.
Today marks 31 weeks and we are excited about September! (Just 8 more weeks to go!) We got the crib and some wall decorations Tuesday and put them together. Everything fits in the computer/nursery room just perfect. All we need is a dresser and a baby! |
|
| Fri, July 18, 2003 |
Well, here we are at 31 weeks and the baby is active more than ever! Every twist and turn is excitement for us because we can actually see Darlene's stomach do ''the wave''. We're excited that our baby is very active....but I don't know if that will be such a great thing when it actually gets here |
